The follow-up from Samsung to the excellent Odyssey G9 curved gaming monitor is almost here: the 49-inch Odyssey Neo G9 cost a huge $2,499.99 on Thursday 29 July in advance. It’s almost 1,000 dollars more than the original, but it’s not only a bump. Now the new Neo G9 comes complete with a Mini LED backlit panel that has a luminosity of 2,000 nits and full-scale local dimming for deeper HDR blacks that did not really handle the original.
Odyssey Neo G9 was followed last year by the Odyssey G9 game monitor, but this is more than an update on the model name. It’s one of the best game monitor on the market with a 5–120x1440 resolution, but with several major improvements.
